Summary: My very own Art! Reflections! I took the photo that I referenced for the bridge in the background. (It is the Pont Benezet in Avignon famous in the song.) Avignon just inspires art for me.

I fell in love with the city walls, beautiful and so well preserved. And the Palace of the Popes, of course. It was late autumn when I was there and it was only for half a day, but I enjoyed it very much. That hotel does sound charming...

I was there around the middle of October, I think. The walls were so beautiful. I've drawn a picture of the Palais de Papes. It's somewhere in my journal--Ah! Here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/honorat/18186.html). And I've drawn a picture looking down over the vineyard and the Rhone towards Villenueve that I haven't uploaded. Now that winter is settling in here in bitter earnest, my heart turns to the south of France. No wonder Johnny and Vanessa live there!
