YUM. This is fabulous. (You even gave him his broad nose, which is the sole thing that keeps Will from being completely pretty.)

Oh yes, quite yummy. Yes, it's a good thing he has one non-generic feature. I'm glad you like this. Thanks for the comment.

It's official now: I am in love with your artistic skills, and envious of them at the same time, since I can barely draw stick figures. Well done!!! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you liked my not such a stick-figure Will :D

Stunning, love! I agree with [livejournal.com profile] kahva. I am green with envy at your talent but I do love the results. Sure you won't reconsider doing just a nice little pic of, say, Jack and Will hugging? My imagination can do the rest if you'll just give it a bit of a push.:) *sigh*

I'm glad you enjoy the results of my obsessive need to always be drawing when I have to sit still. I may someday draw one of the promotional pictures with Jack and Will in it, but it won't be a photo-manipulation. I draw what I see. And I'm pretty canonical. *profuse apologies* Thank you so much for the comment.

God, you're good. Suffering PotC withdrawral because I've had too much work to watch it for ages *tear* and that has just made my day.

Oh *Sends much sympathy your way* The only cure for PotC withdrawal is to mainline fanfiction for a day. I'm glad this gave you a little shot. Thank you for your kind words.

I can't believe you got such strong tone work with mechanical pencil! I thought that this was charcoal at least. Do you use an eraser for the highlights, or do you just work on the shaded areas?

Again, a stunningly beautiful portrait. You've really caught the intensity in his eyes-- I have to go against the masses and say that Will isn't 'my type', but there is something more... rugged about him here that's very striking.

Anyway, yes ^^ Beautiful as always. I really can't say much more!

I use very soft lead in my mechanical pencil, and then I blend with a tortillon, which has a tendency to darken things down as well. For the most part I do not use an eraser for the highlights. I work with the shadows from dark to light. I did use a kneaded eraser to pick out the highlight on his nose because it got a little smudged, but that's usually all I use the eraser for.

I don't know if Will is my "type" either. I tend to be more interested in the character, so I just like the face the character is attached to. This picture from the new poster is very magnetic.

Thank you so much for commenting. I'm glad you liked it.

*waves back* Welcome. Ooh that must mean despatches is out again. I'll have to check my f-list. It's nice to meet a fellow artist. I've been drawing all my life which is beginning to sound like a long time, although last I checked I was sure I was only four years old. *sigh* I'm glad you enjoyed this picture. Thank you so much for dropping by.

Oh my. That's beautiful! I hope this comes across as the compliment it's meant to be, but this drawing looks more like Will than Orli. I mean you've captured the essence of the character. Oh, let's just say that I love it, it's gorgeous and go from there. *g*

Thank you so much. I'm glad you like this picture of Will. It isn't quite a perfect likeness as you say, but it's good that you see the gorgeous character of young William in it.
