Oh man, I love it! I almost missed it even, and then I got to the line "Your father always wore the stupidest hats," and I nearly burst out laughing in sheer glee, because yes! Connecting the dots like this, telling us something we didn't know before but once said, must of course be true -- that is what fanfic is for.
