It took me 2 days to read that discussion. You guys really went into some pretty deep philosophical waters there with your character analyses. I agreed with a lot of the points you guys made, and I do plan on seeing the film again so that I can pay closer attention to the characters themselves to see if I can see what you guys saw.

I know what you mean about lit majors. If to understand is to forgive, then also to understand is to appreciate. So many times it took crafty, skewed, in-depth analysis and discussion of something in order for me to find what I truly like about it. I wouldn't have survived all my lit survey classes without it.
