Jack Davenport is underrated for his time, and his craft. He never stops, not even when the camera isn't on him (which means that when it accidentally is we're always given a treat). He's so totally invested in the character, body and soul. I'd love to see him on stage, I really would.

I never liked the idea of authors taking sides--it isn't truth (I'm kinda big on this if you hadn't noticed ^.~) It's biased by the author's perceptions, aka their own moral judgements are infused into their narrative. It's the mark of a great author who can have the audience empathize with both parties. When we're torn between who to feel for, then you know you've done a good job.

Characters Redeemed While You Wait? If you can win back my love admiration and respect for the man that killed Jack Sparrow and borrowed his body for DMC I will... well there will be much squeeing involved, I promise you that.
